LanguageTool went to premium for the browser extension, where Grammarly remained free. Grammarly doesn't charge for spell check and grammar.
The developers' choice to restrict extensions to paying subscribers was a mistake. It was enjoyable during its free period, but I will not pay for a subscription given the abundance of no-cost options.
It used to be very good, but they added AI and now it just says, in every sentence, "there may be a mistake here". It is not useful anymore.
